Supporting Your Eye Health

Your eyesight impacts many parts of life, like your ability to drive, work, enjoy your favorite activities, and more. Your eye health affects much more than your quality of vision; the state of your eyes can also be an early warning sign of various diseases.

If you notice vision changes or have pain in or around your eyes, contact your optometrist. Additionally, make sure to get a regular eye exam, even if your eyesight seems fine.

During your exam at our Optometry Department, we will:

  • Examine vision quality. Your eyesight will likely change over time, whether due to age, genetics, or other factors. Your eye doctor will check for vision changes and update your prescription as needed.
  • Check for eye conditions. Early detection is important for your long-term eye health. Your eye doctor will check for cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and other vision-affecting diseases.
  • Help detect serious diseases. Your eye doctor may detect serious conditions before they impact other parts of your health. This can include diabetes, high cholesterol, heart conditions, and more.
